YWAM Frontier Missions Foundational Values

YWAM Church Planting Coaches is a service of YWAM Frontier Missions. As an integral part of YWAM International, we fully affirm our larger mission's values. We also affirm the following list of FM values which address and guide our contributions within the wider YWAM movement.

  1. We commit to 'closure' of world evangelisation in this generation focused on unreached peoples.
  2. We recognise the value and validity of every culture itself has been ordained by God and proceeds out of the creative nature of men and women, themselves created in the image of God.
  3. While recognising the presence of both good and evil in every culture, we value culture as a vehicle through which God has chosen to reveal himself to men and women.
  4. We value God’s desire to build his church within every culture so that men and women may respond to Him within their particular context and thereafter take responsibility for the transformation of their culture.
  5. We value God’s desire to build His Church within every culture, in great diversity of expression and we recognise the Body of Christ is incomplete without participation of people from every culture.
  6. We recognise the strategic importance of mission emerging from within every culture in order to complete the task of world evangelisation.
  7. We as YWAM Frontier Mission affirm our interdependent partnership with all of YWAM Internationally and all of its diverse ministries – this in order to accomplish the task of evangelising and discipling all peoples.
  8. The task of evangelising and discipling the unreached peoples requires that we foster interdependent partnering relationships with the International Body of Christ characterised by Co-operation, vulnerability and accountability.
  9. The Church is a community committed to obey the commands of Christ. We accept the responsibility for planting self-reproducing, self-supporting and self-governing culturally relevant missionary sending churches among unreached peoples.
  10. We affirm the need for these churches to emphasise the Word of God and the working of the Holy Spirit towards self-edification and the manifestation of the priesthood and ministry of every believer.
  11. We encourage the formation and development of indigenous organisations where deemed appropriate to help foster the growth and multiplication of churches throughout the people group and beyond.
  12. We commit to love and serve people both in word and deed. Accordingly, we will by God’s grace both proclaim the good news and perform acts of mercy in order to express the love of God.
  13. Candidates and members have unique value, giftings and calling. Therefore, we are committed to provide appropriate, ongoing, biblically-based, cross-cultural training to equip them for effective ministry.
  14. Member care is our biblical responsibility and a vital means to enhance the resiliency and effectiveness of our Frontier Missions workers. While recognising our ultimate dependence on God and our call to sacrificial lifestyle, we also acknowledge the need for member care structures and services which will encourage personal growth for personnel.
