Maslow's Hierarchy of Needs

Maslow's hierarchy is a good way of looking at the stages individuals need to pass through in a small group to get to the point where the small group will really work well. Some try small groups and they don't work. It's true, they don't work for some and perhaps the reason is that we jump into the deep end and expect profound function without going through the 'stages'.
