It might surprise you to know that the YWAM KnowledgeBase currently costs about 16 euro's a year to run! Currently the server for the KB resides in a cupboard in YWAM Brussels. The server (Merode3) currently hosts 6 or 7 small websites, including http://www.ywambrussels.be and http://www.planetywam.be. It is a Dell desktop with 256 Mb ram and regularly achieves 200+ days of uptime! It doesn't seem to be breaking a sweat so I will keep it going.
Database nightly backup. Weekly backup to portable harddrive (stored off-site). Data stored with YWAM Brussels data.
The Internet connection is provided by Telenet and is roughly 3-5Mb uplink on a static IP address
